First group departs to Dubai
The project background
In July 2019, Gazza, through an agent company (Habesha Africa) went into an agreement with Streit Security Vehicles FZ-LLC, a car assembling plant in Dubai. The company then accepted his request to avail opportunities to 50 Namibians in the roles of Welders, Mechanics, and Auto-electrics. The program is for 2 years but renewable, depending on the performance of the individuals.
The workers will be housed in decent accommodation and remunerated within the laws of the UEA. This program will not only provide much-needed employment opportunities to the Namibian youth but it will create greater exposure to global best practices and therefore contribute to capacity building and skills development. This project has been supported by the Office of the president in principle, who then linked Habesha to The Ministry of Safety and Security and it I has already undergone a positive vetting process from their intelligence department.
The first group which left on Sunday, 9 February 2020, received the blessings from the Ministry of Sport, Youth and National Service, through a letter of support. The company promised to create more employment opportunities and this could open more doors for Namibian graduates.
